A quick note about our stovetops and ovens — they can be a little too clever for their own good!
Our stovetops are fitted with child safety locks. If the display is showing “Lo” OR “—”, or the stovetop is not responding, the child lock may need to be turned off before use. This is usually done by pressing and holding the lock for a few seconds, we always say a "good 10 seconds"
Before using the oven, please check that the wall power switch near the cooktop is turned on. This may look like a regular light switch or power switch, for the oven, please make sure the timer is set, as some of our ovens require this before they start working.

Australia is home to amazing wildlife, and Sydney's warm climate means the occasional cockroach, ant, spider, or possum may make an appearance. We have professional pest control every six months, and most stays are completely pest-free.
Cockroaches (never pleasant) are attracted to food, moisture, and warmth (Hello, Summer!). Seeing one or two (especially at night) doesn't usually mean there's an infestation. Please help by:
· Wiping down benches.
· Keeping food sealed or in the fridge.
· Emptying bins regularly
· Rinsing or washing dishes before bed.
Large spiders can look scary, but most are harmless and help keep insect numbers down. Trust us when we say, they are more scared of you then you are of them, most locals usher them outside.
Please don't feed the birds or other wildlife, as this can attract unwanted pests, and even if they beg, they are definitely not hungry or starving. -
For safety reasons, all windows are fitted with child safety locks.
If you would like the windows opened further, please contact reception to request the key.
Please note: the bathroom window has dual opening functionality. The top hinge can be connected and unconnected, so please ensure top hinge is connected before using the second function.
-
Accidentally set of your smoke detector and there is no emergency? Ensure to open the windows and your exhaust fan is on. Do not open the door to the hallway as this will activate an emergency and call the fire department.
Should there be a fire or emergency, please refer to your safety emergency sheet and call 000.

Our units can heat & cool the room.
For the best performance when cooling, please set the air conditioner to 23°C on Dry Mode. This setting is ideal for our climate and helps keep the apartment comfortable while efficiently removing excess humidity from the air.
Lower temperature settings do not cool the room significantly faster; they simply cause the system to work harder for longer periods.
When leaving the apartment, please remember to turn off the air conditioner to help conserve energy and reduce unnecessary strain on the unit.
